At about 20 seconds in I get the set up I’m looking for to do a barrel roll with normal controls.
I don’t know if this is good enough to be displayed on your site. I have a few other ideas for future submissions.

I still think the roll is amazing. Using normal controls, there is one key factor that makes a roll possible. Doing it on purpose takes a specific situation set up. It’s easy to repeat when you figure it out, until then though, try it. After a few tries, hopefully you’ll appreciate it’s beauty as much as I do. Or you’ll pull it off easily, and I’ll put in my place haha.

Ok, thanks, I have one in mind that I’ll try to pull off tonight. We’ll see if it can be worthy. I’m really enjoying the stunt flying aspect of the game, I do a lot of it by accident.

Ever since this site was brought to my attention a short while ago, this is the one I’ve been trying for on and off. The camera played a dirty trick on me, but it makes for an even better video I believe.

A barrel roll is when the pilot rolls as well as loops the plane… creating a flight path similar to if he had flown inside a “barrel” It’s quite a common misconception to get them mixed up.
Barrel rolls are good for evading enemy fire because not only are you quickly changing altitude but you also manage to retain air speed whilst decreasing distance travelled and it’s hard for your enemy to perceive your distance.
I really liked your “landing” video… perhaps we could publish that?
Also would you consider entering our next competition?

I see yeah, not a barrel roll. It is a sick tight roll none the less, which isn’t easy with normal controls. I like watching the Terminator “dance” while it’s going on.
Yeah, the landing video, or any you think are good, feel free to use. I actually pulled up without crashing in the landing, but I stopped the recording because I didn’t think I could.
I’ll enter your next contest, yeah thanks. Watch my “Narrator” video, I didn’t know this site existed when you ran the Ace Killer competition. But oddly enough, that video would be a good accidental entry, I think. The building buzz in the beginning was by accident but a nice save.
One of my sickest moves comes at the end of a quick 6 streak I get. Watch for the move with missile dodge at about 4:50 in my “Hawx Recording 02″.

No I agree to get it to do it in normal controls is pretty difficult.. I’m guessing you had to “trick” it into doing it.
I’ll look at getting some of your videos online perhaps tmrw (its late here!)
